Cryptologic, the Canadian online gambling software provider, have announced that they have purchased the online poker room operated by Scandinavian betting exchange Parbet.com for 9 million Euros...
The deal is for all the assets and the brand of the Parbet poker room, and includes poker software, payment processing services, multi-lingual customer support and services to a private Maltese online gaming company which will operate Parbet.com. The deal further includes the rights to the Parbet brand name, associated domain names such as Parbet.com, customer lists, databases and players' cash in deposits.
CryptoLogic's agreed to pay 9 million Euros for the brand and assets, and additional amounts potentially as much as 4 million Euros, dependent on performance over a six-month period. The deal will come in to effect by January 15.
CryptoLogic expects the deal to add add approximately $2 million to 2007 earnings.
Cryptologic licenses numerous leading online casinos and poker rooms. Licensees do not accept US players.
