Veterans organizations will be able to offer some gambling at their lodges and halls across the state. That according to a bill approved by the Michigan House. The legislation would allow veterans groups to participate in State lottery games, including Club Keno and pull tabs.
If the bill is signed into law, it could be he first significant challenges to Proposal 1, the constitutional amendment approved by voters last month. That measure prohibits gambling expansion without voter approval. The bill now goes to the State Senate.
